NATYSHCA PICKETT, M.ED., INTERN
NaTyshca is a graduate counseling student at Kairos University, where she is developing a strong foundation in ethical, evidence-based clinical practice. Her training emphasizes a client-centered, strengths-based approach that honors each individual’s lived experience and inherent capacity for growth.
Through NaTyshca’s academic and clinical training, she is gaining experience with a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and family systems–informed practices. She has a particular interest in supporting clients navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, life transitions, and relational dynamics.
At Novus Leaf, NaTyshca is committed to fostering a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. She values collaboration, cultural humility, and reflective practice, and expresses gratitude for the opportunity to learn alongside experienced clinicians while supporting clients on their healing journeys.
NaTyshca is a multiculturally sensitive, trauma-informed Masters Student Intern with experience in the educational setting. Her clinical expertise includes working with children and families in the school setting. Counseling Intern
Therapy is not a one-size fits all.
NaTyshca approaches therapy as a partnership rooted in understanding, compassion, and thoughtful guidance. She recognizes that no two people arrive to therapy with the same history or needs, and she works intentionally to meet clients where they are—emotionally, culturally, and relationally. Her style is warm and engaged, blending reflection with practical strategies to help clients feel supported while moving toward meaningful change.
At the core of her work is a belief that growth happens in spaces where clients feel respected, validated, and empowered. NaTyshca helps individuals identify patterns, clarify values, and strengthen inner resources that support emotional well-being. Whether addressing life stressors, emotional overwhelm, past experiences, or day-to-day coping, she offers a steady, collaborative presence focused on building insight, confidence, and sustainable progress. Her primary therapeutic approaches are:
