I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor. I have been working in the behavioral health field for over 10 years. I love traveling and spending time with my kids, husband, and pugs but am a homebody at heart. I love to spend my free time playing video games, going to the gym, researching maps and history and am a big fan of the Elder Scrolls series, Zelda and The Witcher.
As a child, I struggled with navigating my identity — as a biracial Hispanic kid with undiagnosed neurodivergence I did not fit in with any crowd. After getting diagnosed in college and getting my own therapy, I was able to understand that there was hope to accept who I am and found ways to better navigate relationships, work, school, and channel my AuDHD strengths.
I love to provide a safe space for this same kind of self-discovery and use research-based assessment tools, a diagnostic interview with DSM-5 criteria, exploration of common traits identified by the Autistic/ADHD community, as I know how validating and powerful having answers to what makes you different can be.
My clinical supervision style is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in neurodiversity-affirming, strength-based care. I view supervision as a relational and developmental process where clinicians feel safe to think out loud, explore mistakes, process countertransference, and grow without shame. Rather than focusing on deficits, I help supervisees identify and build upon their natural strengths while offering thoughtful, direct feedback that supports both competence and confidence. I approach each clinician with curiosity and respect, believing that growth happens best in a steady, supportive relationship.
I bring strong clinical knowledge in working with children, adolescents, and neurodivergent individuals, integrating developmentally informed, attachment-focused, and nervous system–aware perspectives into supervision. We move beyond surface behaviors to understand underlying process, systemic influences, and relational dynamics, while exploring how to provide affirming, ethical care that honors autonomy and individual differences. My goal is to help clinicians deepen their conceptualization skills, trust their instincts, and become grounded, reflective therapists who feel aligned with their values and equipped to support complex family systems.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling; and is an EMDR-trained clinician.
Clinical Supervision Consultant
Therapy is not a one-size fits all.
Rachel takes a developmentally attuned, play-based approach that honors each child’s unique personality, experiences, and emotional world. Through creative expression, storytelling, art, movement, and play, she creates a safe and engaging space where children can communicate, process, and grow in ways that feel natural to them. Her work is grounded in collaboration, authenticity, and compassion, helping children feel understood while building confidence and emotional awareness. Rachel believes that healing happens when children feel safe, connected, and free to express themselves. She approaches each session with warmth and curiosity, meeting children where they are while gently guiding them toward new skills and insights. Her primary therapeutic approaches are:
Child-Centered Play Therapy
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Person-Centered Therapy/Sand Tray Therapy
